The Arrosto chrome tap is delivered with our under counter 2.5litre tank unit, with its easy-to-use digital display, offering adjustable water temperate between 75 & 98º, using safe & durable vented design running on a standard 3 pin plug & 1 filter cartridge.
FAQ’s
How safe are they? Could a child or older person easily mistakenly use it & scold themselves?
Very safe. The instant boiling water control has a spring loaded safety catch meaning you can’t accidentally turn or leave on the boiling water flow.
Is the boiling water stored or heated as you use it? Worried about stagnant water?
The tank holds the water at, or close to your set temperature. At first install or first use after being switched off it will take up to 10mins to heat & be ready to use. Otherwise it is refilling & reheating as you use. In the odd occasion you’ve used a lot of boiling water you may have to wait a couple of minutes for it to heat before your next brew.
Is the cold water really cold?
The right hand lever is just like any standard kitchen mixer tap. The temp of the water coming through would depend on the temp of your household supply & the outdoor temperature, likely being warmer in summer.
Will the boiling water tap brew be on a par with your average kettle brew? 🤣 Very important question!! ☕️
Very important! Dare we say, as the water is filtered on its way through, it may be the best, cleanest brew you’ve had in a long time!
Does it need a separate electrical supply? Most work from a 13amp spur but that could still overload the existing circuit.
To keep you & your home as safe as possible we recommend installation by a qualified electrician & for Bollire to be on its own circuit.
How much does it cost to run?
- Instant boiling water taps are very efficient & likely to cost you less to run than a standard kettle. When in standby, the Bollire uses less than 1watt of electricity per hour which, based on a UK average of 14pence/kWh you’re running on only 3p per day! In teas & coffees, that’s 10 mugs a day for as little as 10p/day.
- The integrated filter in the Bollire tank not only improves taste & smell, it is also protecting your tank from limescale build up, unlike your standard kettle which is at risk of failure due to limescale damage.
Is it actually instant as in turn the tap and instantly boiling or do you let it run a bit like you do with the boiling tap? And if so, how do you know it’s boiling? Wouldn’t want to touch it 😂
There is a split second delay on the water dispensing once the safety button is pressed & turned. The boiling water will then dispense at your set temp straight away (assuming not in a heat up period)
Can it install on a Belfast sink?
Yes! The Bollire can be installed on any sink that a standard mixer tap could be.
How many brews per tank?
7-8 mugs per full tank before needing a few mins to refill & reheat.
How long to install?
It will depend on your plumbing & electrical set up – we’d expect you to be installed and ready in under an hour.
Can it work with hard water?
- Yes! We would recommend you replace your filter cartridge more frequently in hard water areas to prevent build up in your tank & taste changes.

Do you need a separate tap for cold – 2 taps?
No! The Bollire has instant 98º from the left hand control & standard mixer tap on the right.
Can you fit the tank in an under sink drawer?
- Unfortunately not, the tank needs to be installed on a static surface.
- You can fit in a unit underneath a drawer, as long as the tank will be still & not moving in & out in a drawer.
How often to replace the filter?
- We recommend every 6 months, more frequently in hard water areas.

Does the water taste ok?
Yes! The carbon block filter cartridge will reduce pesticides, chlorine & limescale for improved taste & odour.
Why is there no vent for the steam to escape?
The techy bit… Using patented technology, the Bollire tank uses an internal bladder, which removes the need for any external draining – no need to plumb into your waste to remove excess condensation or steam. Really is a quick & hassle free install!
